Plantar Fasciitis Physiotherapy Protocol
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. Regular stretching and mobility exercises can help reduce pain, improve flexibility, and promote recovery. Perform the following exercises as instructed by your physiotherapist or orthopaedic specialist.
Gastrocnemius Stretch
Purpose: Improves flexibility of the main calf muscle.
Instructions:
* Stand facing a wall with the affected leg behind.
* Keep the back knee straight and heel on the floor.
* Lean forward until a stretch is felt in the upper calf.
* Hold for 30 seconds.
