Plantar Fasciitis Physiotherapy Protocol
Plantar Fasciitis Physiotherapy Protocol

Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. Regular stretching and mobility exercises can help reduce pain, improve flexibility, and promote recovery. Perform the following exercises as instructed by your physiotherapist or orthopaedic specialist.

Plantar Fascia Self-Stretch and Mobilization

Purpose: Reduces tension in the plantar fascia and improves tissue mobility.

Instructions:

* Sit comfortably and cross the affected leg over the other leg.
* Pull the toes back towards the shin until a stretch is felt in the arch of the foot.
* Massage and mobilize the plantar fascia from heel to toes.
* Continue gently for 3–5 minutes.
* Stop if sharp pain occurs.

Frequency: 3–5 minutes, 2–3 times daily.
